A seminar was conducted by the Information Sector Businessman Association (BİSİAD), where the effects of the New Turkish Commercial Law on the information sector, for which it will create a new market, and expectations from it was discussed, at ULUTEK Conference Hall with the cooperation of ULUTEK, KOSGEB and BSMMMO, on Wednesday, 27 Jun 2012.
Besides a briefing on the New Turkish Commercial Law, the Supports of KOSGEB and ULUTEK were also made mention of during the seminar, which was open to the members of BISIAD and all other companies that are interested in the Informatics.
- Osman Akın, The Chairman of BISIAD: The business of building 1 million web sites will create a significant workload to the sector. Who, how will build those web sites?
- Prof. Dr. Agah Uğuz: Techno parks are leading the opening of the R&D centres.
- Mesut Topcu, The Chairman of BSMMMO: Turkey is being squeezed under the tutorship of Ministry of Finance.
Akın, stating that it is essential to understand the importance of the information sector in order to stay in parallel with the development of the sector in the world, continued his speech saying ‘‘We are proud of the home production of tramway, and we advertise this. People should be aware that we perform such kind of works thanks to the information and software sector. Public opinion should support the representatives of the sector adequately’’.
Akın, saying that more that 75 universities have Departments of Computer Engineering in Turkey, also touched upon the lack of this department in Bursa, the pioneer of the economy, in his speech.
During the presentations conducted after the opening address, Prof. Dr. Agah Uğuz, General Manager of ULUTEK, talked about the advantages provided to the informatics companies by being in ULUTEK.
And Mesut TOPÇU, Chairman of the Chamber of Certified Public Accountants (BSMMMO) of Bursa, speaking in the meeting, where the members and representatives of the sector showed great interest, mentioned about the effects of the New Turkish Commercial Law on the Information Sector.
Topçu said ‘‘With this new commercial Law, based on transparency and accountability, some characteristics have been put away. For instance, the inspection of the web page has been left under the authority of Ministerial Cabinet. And the Ministerial Cabinet will determine which companies shall be subject to independent inspection, and probably will make a regulation related with this, within a restricted scope.
İbrahim Uzun, Board Member and Accountant of BİSİAD, making a short interview with Line TV during the Seminar break, provided important information about the order of the day.
And after the presentations, while Alper Çelikel, Education Programs Developing and Marketing Specialist of Okan University made mention of the masters degree programs of Okan University; Şevket Candaş, the Assistant SME (KOBI) specialist, informed the participants about the supports of KOGSEB in the information sector.
